Much of our food is the result of the activity of pollinator insects, and alarm is growing over their dramatic decline. A loss with very serious and often irreversible consequences for the environment and for humanity. Through the stories of beekeepers in the Lagoon and the city of Venice, this book recounts the metamorphoses of the landscape, the impact of human activities, and the consequences of industrial agriculture and its long supply chains, suggesting a broader reflection on future food systems.
